What is a Safe Tourism Certificate? 

The "Safe Tourism Certification Programme" launched by Turkey for the first time in Europe was prepared under the leadership of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism due to the coronavirus outbreak. The Safe Tourism Certification Programme defines a number of measures to be taken for all Turkish citizens and foreign visitors who will spend their holidays in Turkey. It takes into account transportation, accommodation, and the health of both hotel staff and guests.

Facilities that wish to have a “Safe Tourism Certificate”, which includes a lot of precautions as well as health and hygiene rules, are audited within the framework of certain criteria by the determined institutions. Those who qualify for the certificate are listed on the website of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Audits will be repeated periodically and recorded.
